The world has been going through many social and political conflicts all over. Human civilisation has marched through various significant periods- Caves age, Stone Age, Agriculture, Industrial, Chip and Transistor age and now the Digital Age is leading to modern day period. These continuous social and technological changes impacted the generations of mankind significantly from time to time. The behaverial pattern, intellectual process and standard of living of human beings have changed drastically over a period of time.
The chip technology in 20th century in the world has brought about sea changes in the development of human beings rapidly in a short period of time. This chip technology has led into the digital technology. This century is known as digital age. This technology has brought about the changes in various spheres of life of mankind. Artificial intelligence and robotics are directly replacing the capabilities of human beings. But such technologies are leading dangerously into the unemployment all over the world as they are directly replacing human functions artificially. The growing unemployment is creating the sense of insecurity and discontentment. This has reduced the purchasing power of the people and is leading into recessionary trends. These recessionary trends are creating havoc in the world. The 20th century witnessed the rapid acceptance of global economy while the 21st century is witnessing the increasing trends towards protectionist economy. There is an increasing trade wars in different regions of the world. This has created new phenomenon of nationalism fervour and the conflicts in many parts of the world. The political leaderships are assuring the local citizens employment at the cost of concerns for humanity and also the environment protection.
The advent of modern technology in the world has created many social issues. On one side the world has become a global village on account of strong communication and satellite technologies, on the other hand the families are getting fragmented. As the jobs at local levels are disappearing, the new generation has to migrate to the job destinations all over the world. This has created the imbalance in the society. The rural areas where job opportunities have diminished, are getting deserted while the urban areas getting over populated. There is a large scale of migration and displacement in search of jobs. Hence some of the cities are crumbling on account inadequate urban infrastructure. This is leading to a great deal of social discontentment and creating sense of insecurity in the society. This is adversely affecting the vulnerable sections of the society viz. women, children, senior citizens and economically and socially challenged communities. In this process the biggest casualty is "the humanity".
