PASAYADAN – PRAYER FOR THE WELFARE OF THE HUMANITY

                      ----- Saint Dnyaneshwar

Saint Dnyaneshwar : Born in 1275 AD at Apegaon in Maharashtra State to a family of Hindu priest. Nivvruthinath (1273), Dnyaneshwar (1275),Sopan (1277) and Muktabai (1279-sister) were three brothers and a sister. Unfortunately the orthodox community at that time humiliated, persecuted and ostracised  their parents. It is said that they ultimately committed suicide.

This painful experience gave spiritual power to the teenage brothers and sister. This horrific experience led Saint Dnyaneshwar to write a prayer called Pasayadan at a young age of sixteen in 1290 AD .It   gave a message of welfare of the humankind for peace and prosperity. It is probably the first global prayer for the cause of humanity.

Saint Dnyaneshwar took Samadhi or Sanjeevani at a young age

of 21 at Alandi near Pune in 1296 AD.

                             PASAYADAN (English translation)

Now,  The entire Cosmos Divine | Be pleased with this pious word offering of mine |

Grant me in good will benign | Your Benevolent Grace Divine ||1||

May the evil minded, their wickedness shed | May their intellect turn to pious and good deeds instead ||

May all living beings find themselves bonded | By friendly ties of soul companionship ||2||

May the darkness of ignorant disappear | May the universe see the Sun of self consciousness ||

May whatsoever aspirations of those be fulfilled | Of all living beings ||3||

May shower all over the pious bliss Divine | May the world be full of Saintly beings benign ||

May incessantly in the Universe | Meet the living beings ||4||

Moving groves of wish granting trees | Colonies of conscious wish fulfilling jewels ||

These saints are, speaking oceans | Full of pious Nectarly Divine ||5||

A Moon without a smear | A Sun without a hot sear ||

Always to one and all, these hallowed saints | Become kith and kin dear ||6||

Let all beings be completely satisfied and happy | Fully contented in all the three world ||

Engrossed and merged in devotion | Eternally, of ultimate Divine ||7||

And those who live by this scripture Divine | Eternally guiding all living beings ||

Be victorious over seen unforeseen | In this world and beyond ||8||

Here, said, the lord of the Universe | This shall become thy Grace Divine ||

And with this blissful Grace Divine | Dnyandeva became ever joyous and happy benign ||9|| 

Empathy and sympathy are more important than any other pathy such as allopathy, ayurveda or homeopathy for humankind  to remain happy and healthy.

Hence develop affection,empathy,love,respect and compassion toward fellow humankind.

Accept and practice the Religion of Humanity for peace and prosperity.

Lessons from Coronavirus Pandemic

RELIGION OF HUMANITY

The world at present is grappled under fear and uncertainty by invasion of unknown enemy-Coronavirus. All 205 countries in the globe have been badly affected and devastated in their socio-economic activities. This unprecedented situation has arisen for the first time in human history! This virus has crossed all frontiers in the world such as caste, creed, colour,race, religions, territories, countries, and poor, rich and so on. It has proved to the world that no one is invincible. All the institutions of different faiths, sects and religions have been closed down. In this crisis nobody can dare to ask question to the Divine Almighty about its prowess to save the billions of devotees from the brink of uncertainty, despair and collapse. In this period of crisis only fellow human beings are relentlessly working to save other fellow human beings. They are working at the risk of their lives in hospitals, community kitchens, policing, and ambulance services, testing and research labs and at administration levels, supply chains etc. In short the humanity is at its peak and the human beings are at the fore front to fight the savagery of the unknown dangerous Coronavirus. It has now been proved that the Humanity is the only Supreme Religion and the Human Beings are the Living Gods ! In this unprecedented calamity mankind has discovered the Humanity.

Hence the time has come to embrace the new ideology in the society which will alleviate the challenges of the 21st century and beyond. This new ideology is “the Humanity”. People all over the world should embrace this ideology as way of their lives in the form of religion. It should be known as RELIGION OF HUMANITY.

The only RELIGION OF ETERNITY IS RELIGION OF HUMANITY.

It is the embodiment of faith of mankind, by mankind and for mankind for their welfare and prosperity and for protection of its creator, the Nature.

Essence of Humanity

Main Theme :

The Religion of Humanity is to foster and ingrain the principles of love, affection, empathy, compassion, brotherhood and sisterhood among mankind for their peaceful coexistence and development. It is also committed to protect the nature from further deterioration.

This religion is free from discrimination of gender, colour, caste, creed,race, religion and geographical boundaries.

Essence of humanity :

It is nothing but human nature or humanity is a bundle of characteristic including ways of thinking, feeling and acting.

Main Objectives :

1. To foster the divine principles of love, affection, empathy, compassion, brotherhood, sisterhood amongst the mankind for  their peaceful coexistence and development.
2. To protect the nature from rapid deterioration.
3. To strive to foster the spirit of  human dignity by advocating the principles of mutual respect, equality, freedom of expression and moral conduct in day today life.
4. To strengthen five elements of Mother Nature (the climatic balance) by respecting and protecting the main sources of the existence : earth, air, water, ether and fire. Image source internet
